WORLD POETRY 2.00 to 4.00 SAT 13 OCT 2007

VENUE:  The Juliette Balcony, just above the Atruium at Federation  Square (same level as Chinotta Cafe).

 

The October session of World Poetry will have a Japanese flavour.
Alana Kelsall and Sue Stanford read work inspired by their experiences in Japan. Also, Sue will read the English versions of some Japanese anti-war poetry she has translated, and Hideko Nakamura will read the Japanese originals.

Draw Along with Leigh Hobbs

Leigh Hobbs, artist and author best known for his children's books, will be showing kids how he draws Old Tom. Chronicles Bookshop provides creative opportunity for children to join in this drawing activity.

Leigh's latest book Old Tom's Big Book of Beauty is Old Tom's seventh adventure (published by Allen and Unwin in 2007).
